The Millenial Reign of The Messiah

The Millenial Reign of The Messiah

After The Messiah returns to the earth and destroys the armies at Armageddon (Jeremiah 25:30–33; Revelation 19:15, 18), He will convene two judgments and destroy every unbeliever who has survived His tribulation wrath and His victory at Armageddon.

The majority of the people of earth will be dead, but as Isaiah 13:12 and 24:6 say, there will be survivors, “very few,” but there will be survivors. There are more than 7 billion people on earth at this time, so “very few” could easily mean a few million or more. Matthew 25:31–46 implies that there will be a significant number because the “nations” will be brought before Christ at the start of his 1,000-year reign.

Judgement on The House of Israel:

First judgment, Christ will gather together the house of Israel (Ezekiel 20:39), and He will cause the people to pass under His rod of judgment (20:37). Believers will return from the lands of the diaspora, will enter into the new covenant with Christ, and will be sanctified in the promised land (20:37, 41). Also, The Messiah “will purge out from among” the house of Israel “the rebels, and them that transgress” (20:37-38). As a result, at least at the beginning of the kingdom, “all the house of Israel” shall “serve” The Messiah (20:40). Isaiah also anticipated this future time of regathering for Israel (60:8,9) when “all” the people will be “righteous” (60:21).

Judgement on the Nations:

At the second judgment, The Messiah will judge “all nations,” and He will divide them “as sheep from the goats” (Matthew 25:31–33). He will set believers on His right, and they will “inherit the kingdom” (25:34). He will sentence the unbelievers on His left to “everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” (25:41, 46). Every nation and kingdom that does not serve the Most High will “perish” and will be “utterly wasted” (Isaiah 60:12). Every one that survives shall go up to Jerusalem annually to worship the Most High (Zechariah 14:16).

As a result of these two judgments, every unbeliever who survives The Messiah's second coming will be eliminated from the earth and will not be granted access into the kingdom. This means that the first generation of Gentile millennial inhabitants will all be believers. This also means that the unbelievers of the final millennial generation who participate in the great rebellion must be descendants of the first generation believers.

Because there will be no war and plenty of food, these Righteous Gentile survivors will multiply rapidly and will repopulate the earth. In fact, they will multiply to such a degree that by the end of the 1,000 years they will be as numerous “as the sand on the seashore” (Rev. 20:8).

* The rapture is the translation / transformation of the righteous Hebrew survivors of the Tribulation

The Apostle Paul told the Corinthian believers that at the rapture of the church “we shall all be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:51). The resurrection of the dead and the transformation (or “translation”) of the living at the rapture (15:42) will impact “all” believers. At the rapture, The Messiah is coming back to “receive” (John 14:3) those who have believed (14:1). Those who will be resurrected at the rapture will be the “dead in Christ” (1 Thessalonians 4:16), and those who will be translated will be the living who “believe that The Messiah died and rose again” (4:14).

* The first resurrection is the return of the righteous dead Hebrews.

Rapture and resurrection will occur around the same time, shortly after the second coming of the Messiah.

The world will be governed by the righteous Hebrews resurrected and the righteous Hebrews raptured/transformed.

The Resurrected will receive a new super body and the Raptured will also receive an new super body.

* The first generation righteous Gentile tribulation survivors will beget and bear “offspring” (65:23) probably they are first generation righteous Gentile tribulation survivors.

* After the 1000 years, Satan will be released. Satan will then gather a vast number of unbelievers (“as the sand of the sea”) in one final, unsuccessful rebellion (20:7–10). This prediction of an ultimate insurrection proves the existence of many unbelievers during the final days of the millennium. Probably they are the offspring of the first generation righteous Gentile tribulation survivors.

Many children will be born on earth during this 1,000-year reign of Christ (Zech. 8:1-5, Isa. 65:20-23, Ezek. 47:22, Rev. 20:7-9). Zechariah 14:16 tells us that those who refuse to worship The Messiah in Jerusalem come from "the families of the earth," indicating these are the children and grandchildren of those who entered the millennium, who are now living all over the earth.

The Israelites will govern the masses of Gentiles. It is now the time of Jacobs government. For that they need a glorified body

The Holy Spirit moved the Prophet Isaiah to write in chapter 11:

[1] And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

[2] And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Most High;

[3] And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Most High: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

[4] But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

[5] And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

[6] The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

[7] And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

[8] And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’s den.

[9] They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Most High, as the waters cover the sea.”

Above is a brief description of the Millennial (1000-Year) Reign of The Messiah.

He will come back to this planet and utterly destroy its evil world system.

* He will remove the sinners and place them into hell.

* He will redeem the nation Israel from her sins.

* He will restructure the governments of Earth.

* He will reverse the ecology of this planet.

* There will be no predation in the animal kingdom; all animals will eat vegetation as in the beginning, before sin entered (Genesis 1:29-30).

* There will be no more evil spirits loose on Earth and no idolatry in Israel (Zechariah 13:1-2).

* Satan will be bound in the bottomless pit for that entire 1,000-year period (see Revelation 20:1-7).

* There will be righteousness and justice as The Messiah personally, literally, physically, visibly rules over Israel and all nations; * * His kingdom will be headquartered in Jerusalem.

Yes, it is literal, despite that some teach it is “spiritual,” claiming that it does not mean what it says. The Bible says exactly what it means, and it means exactly what it says.

In Isaiah’s prophecy above, we see “a little child” (verse 6) leading the wolf, the lamb, the leopard, the kid (baby goat), the calf, the young lion, and the fatling (a young animal such as a calf or lamb). “The sucking [nursing] child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’s den” (verse 8). These human children are playing by the hole of the asp (a venomous snake) and by the den of the cockatrice (another type of venomous snake), and yet they are unharmed because the curse on creation has been lifted!

From where did these human children come?

The children born during the Millennium will evidently come from righteous Gentiles who blessed believing Israel during the seven-year Tribulation. These Gentiles are described in Matthew 25:31-40 (which read in your Bible). Furthermore, there are a number of righteous Hebrews who will not die during the seven-year Tribulation. They will be hiding out in the wilderness of Moab and Edom (Isa.11:13-14), free from the wrath of the Antichrist, The Most High taking care of them until the seven years end (Revelation 12:5-6,13-17). The righteous Hebrews (we do not know the exact number) will be physically alive to see The Messiah literally come back to Earth at His Second Coming (Zechariah 13:8-9; cf. Zechariah 12:10; Matthew 24:30-31; Mark 13:26-27; Luke 21:27-28). Evidently, these Hebrews, having never died, will also enter the 1,000-Year Reign of The Messiah without the ability to reproduce, because they have received glorified bodies during the Rapture/Transformation.

When the Sadducees asked The Messiah a deceptive question, an inquiry to try to trip Him up in His words, He provided some insight into the matter we are currently discussing. Let's see what the Messiah had to say in Matthew chapter 22:

[23] The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

[24] Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

[25] Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

[26] Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

[27] And last of all the woman died also.

[28] Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

[29] The Messiah answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of The Most High.

[30] For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of The Most High in heaven.”

Notice how The Messiah said that those who are resurrected do not marry and are not given in marriage. Evidently, any Hebrew believer resurrected to go into the Millennium will not be able to reproduce. In other words, the Old Testament saints, the believers from Christ’s earthly ministry and early Acts, and those Tribulation saints who died, they will be resurrected to enter The Messiah's earthly kingdom. Because they will be resurrected, they will no longer be able to marry and thus not be able to reproduce.

At least some of the millennial populace will die during the time of Messiah’s earthly kingdom. Isaiah envisions a humanity marked by its longevity (65:22). In fact, sinners will die prematurely at the relatively young age of one hundred years, much like a child dying without having fulfilled his days (65:20).

Additionally, citizens of Messiah’s earthly kingdom will beget and bear “offspring” (65:23). Procreation would not be possible during the millenium if all of its inhabitants were people with glorified bodies

CONCLUSION

Considering what The Messiah said in Matthew 22:30, and what Isaiah wrote in chapter 11, the children born during the Millennium will be from the righteous Gentile parents who survived the Great Tribulation, those who never died.

* The occurrence of death and the occurrence of birth in the millennial kingdom. At least some of the millennial populace will die during the time of Messiah’s earthly kingdom.

* Isaiah envisions a humanity marked by its longevity (65:22). In fact,

sinners will die prematurely at the relatively young age of one hundred years, much like a child dying without having fulfilled his days (65:20).

Therefor we conclude that righteous Gentiles will not have the glorified body, so that they can reproduce in the kingdom.

The Righteous Hebrews (resurrected / raptured-transformated) will not reproduce, since they have the glorified body.

The Hebrew children in the kingdom were probably raptured with their parents. But in the kingdom no new Hebrew children will be born.

WHEN WILL THE OLD TESTAMENT SAINTS BE RESURRECTED?

When will the Old Testament saints be resurrected?

Will that resurrection include those saved before the Dispensation of Grace?

Let us search the Scriptures to see what they say about this topic (Acts 17:10-11).

the Bible calls their resurrection “the first resurrection” (Revelation 20:5-6).

The goal of the prophetic program is to have redeemed Israel fulfilling The Most High’s will in the earth (Exodus 19:3-6; Psalm 24:1; Matthew 5:5; Revelation 5:10; Revelation 11:15)—that is what we call the Millennial Reign of The Messiah, or the 1,000-year kingdom, or what the Bible calls “the kingdom of heaven,” etcetera.

Notice what The Messiah said in Matthew 25:34 in reference to His earthly kingdom:

“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

The promise of The Most High’s earthly kingdom goes all the way back to Adam when The MOst High first placed man on the Earth (Acts 3:21) and it continues with Israel: everyone justified before The Most High from Adam all the way up to those that died in the great Tribulation, they have an earthly hope.

The oldest Bible book, Job, makes it clear in Job 19:25-27 that these saints had a hope, not to die and go to heaven [our hope], but a hope to be raised again and go into that earthly kingdom.

Job 19:25-27:

[25] For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

[26] And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see The Most High:

[27] Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.”

All Hebrews saved unto eternal life outside of our Dispensation of Grace, they will all be resurrected together, for they all need go into the earthly kingdom that The Most High promised them. They need to be resurrected after The Messiah comes back at His Second Coming, but before He initiates His kingdom on Earth.

After the seven-year Tribulation, The Messiah will return to Earth (Revelation 19:11-21).

It is here on the Bible timeline that Revelation 20:4-6 will be fulfilled:

[4] And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of The Messiah, and for the word of The Most High, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with The Messiah a thousand years.

[5] But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

[6] Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of The Most High and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

Note the believing Hebrew slain during the Tribulation, are clearly referenced in verse 4. This is the “Old Testament saints’ resurrection,” the resurrection of Israel’s kingdom saints, and it will occur just after The Messiah returns to Earth at His Second Coming.

Notice how verse 6 speaks of Israel’s ministry as a kingdom of priests (Exodus 19:5-6; Isaiah 61:6; 1 Peter 2:8; Revelation 1:6; Revelation 5:10).

According to The Messiah, Israel’s patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will be resurrected to enter and reign in their kingdom; obviously, their resurrection would be before the 1,000 years begin. Matthew 8:11: “And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.”

Please understand that Israel’s 12 apostles also need to be resurrected before the Millennial Kingdom can begin, for they will sit on 12 thrones judging Israel’s 12 tribes in her kingdom:

[27] Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

[28] And The Messiah said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

[29] And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

[30] But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first” (Matthew 19:27-30). Mark records similar statements in Mark 10:28-31, which see.

Daniel 12:11-13 provides more info about the timeframe of the Old Testament saints’ resurrection:

[11] And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

[12] Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

[13] But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

Usually, the seven-year Tribulation, Daniel’s 70th week, is divided into 3 1/2 years and 3 1/2 years, or 42 months and 42 months, or 1260 days and 1260 days (see Revelation 11:2-3, Revelation 12:6, Revelation 13:5, etcetera). According to Daniel 12:12 above, from the time the Antichrist defiles Israel’s newly-rebuilt temple to one important event associated with Christ’s coming is 1290 days. Notice this is 30 days past the often-used figure of 1260 days. Daniel chapter 12 also speaks of 1335 days, or 75 days past the 1260 days. At this time, we cannot be sure what the 30-day mark and 75-day mark actually signify, but there is a “window of time” involved with The Messiah's Second Coming and the Old Testament saints’ resurrection. According to Daniel 12:12 (quoted above), it seems like the Old Testament saints will be resurrected approximately a month or two after The Messiah returns.

Verse 13 leads to conclude that they will be resurrected at the very end of those days listed, and that would be the 75-day mark, or 1335 days after the Antichrist defiled the temple. Generally speaking, the Old Testament saints, such as Daniel, will be resurrected after the seven-year Tribulation, after The Messiah returns to Earth at His Second Coming.

CONCLUSION:

When will the Old Testament saints be resurrected?

They will be resurrected within a month or two after The Messiah's Second Coming to end the seven-year Tribulation and establish His literal, physical, visible earthly kingdom.

The Old Testament resurrection will include all those saved would be all saints from Adam to those  believers martyred during the seven-year Tribulation.

They will all be resurrected to enter and enjoy The Messiah's literal, physical, visible, earthly kingdom.

Included with the Living Righteous Hebrew Tribulation survivors.
